Service Learning

Created and managed a wide array of community service projects to benefit many of local and national organizations.  Coordinated student and faculty participation, learning outcomes, recognition and publicity for many design, animation, photography, fashion and culinary partnerships including but not limited to The Pittsburgh Zoo, The Center for Astrophysical Research in Antarctica/The National Science Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, the Veteran’s Administration, The Center for Creative Play, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Pittsburgh Regatta, The Girl Scouts of Southwestern Pennsylvania, the Red Cross, WQED Pittsburgh, Angel’s Place, The American Red Cross and many, many more.

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh effectively developed a model for community service best practices within the Art Institutes’ system of schools to ensure that partnership generates measurable student learning outcomes, inter-collegiate promotion, new student recruitment, and external publicity important for upholding the college’s distinctive reputation.
