Principal Administrator for National Science Foundation-funded grant partnership between The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and the Center for Astrophysical Research in Antarctica (CARA). Responsible for managing faculty and student research, prototype development, design and fabrication of extreme cold weather gear and human-powered vehicles to be by CARA scientists stationed in the South Pole research facility.  Traveled to Antarctica for pioneer trip making it possible for several students and faculty to complete design research and prototype testing at the South Pole. Grant project work included service learning for students studying industrial design, interior design, graphic design and web design.
